Woodstock, Friday Nov 19
Three days out but current forecast models are saying it’s going to be good. Who’s interested?

Keeping an eye on it. Rounding up all of my polar bear flying clothes.

Hi there!
How good do you think Woodstock will be? I never flew there yet so I'm no judge of conditions or forecast...
Is it looking like one of the better days? Checking if you all think it is worth a 4.5 hr drive
Thanks,
Aron

Well, I will go first. It was a great day at Woodstock albeit cold. Winds were light and top of lift was well over 6,000 msl. I managed to fly for 2 hours and maxed out at 6,400 msl. I had one thermal with max climb rates of over 600 up on the 20 second average. The wave seemed to be around but my max altitude was under a forming cloud. I believe everyone soared although some had to scratch up from below launch and some had relatively short flights. I believe we had 10 pilots out today. Just a great day. Thanks for the ride up to launch Bacil.

Remarkable day! Never got as high as Tom but lift was to be had just about everywhere. Above 4,000ft MSL, the air temp was the issue. My arms and hands were ok but the burning sensation in my lungs was what brought me down after 2hrs.
