The SAC 10/27

Post by XCanytime »

Arrived an hour behind schedule (3P) since work lasted longer. Found moderate to strong conditions (more moderate than strong) at launch, and Tom & Allan on the mound observing the launch slot. Since our normal launch crew of Joe & Karen Gorrie were indisposed, and since there were only 3 of us, and my launch time of 3P was not to be, I volunteered to crew and retrieve. So Tom and Allan set up, w/ Allan having a nice launch just after 4P w/ my and Tom's help, and getting up was very easy. Just as Allan launched, 2 young men in a work truck stopped, the pulled over. The 2 of them served as wiremen for Tom, who executed another good launch 15 minutes or so after Allan, and also got up w/ minimal effort. They both got over an hour each, w/ Allan getting 1:29, and had nice landings in a mellow LZ. A beautiful day, w/ pleasant temps and moderate conditions. Bacil
