Looks like the Pulpit could work on Saturday, with a much better direction than Memorial Day (assuming that the current forecast holds). The 3K map is a bit strong-ish, but not crazy. Anyone else giving tomorrow some thought?

Trying to keep my hopes in check... But seems solid W until at least 3pm, and likely max of 20-ish gusts on the ramp (assuming the usual Pulpit +10). Glider going on the vehicle tonight!

Based on this past Monday:

The grass/hay in the uncut portions of the field is waist-to-chest high. Landable, certainly, but you have to treat the top of the grass as the ground. Like a landing after an XC.

The planted sections of the field have *just* been planted. That is, the corn plants which are just inches-high. A well-planned approach, and careful carry-out, should not damage the crop.

And I do mean careful: Stepping into the gaps between the rows as you exit the field. Don't squish them!

Looks like a hint of SW in the surface hourly for the late-AM/early-PM, before a more notable SW by 5pm.

But I think I'll still go up and have a look. Right now, the weather station readings look great!

Aviation was committed today! Will, Allan, Charlie, and myself on HG. Joe S and Steve K on PG. John M decided not to fly after the PG sleds (too cross). And Rich B and Bacil helped wire the hangies. Thank you guys!

A fickle day... I got lucky and had a lawn-dart OTB, and then Bacil picked me up. Thank you man!
