Yesterday’s HG Comp and todays comp was canceled, but got an amazing flight in the dragonfly with Bobby, last evening. He asked if “I Wanted it to be a Wild Flight” and I said “Yes”

As said, we are a few local HG pilots down in Florida now, for two weeks, competing in 2 hangglider competitions, between Orlando and Tampa.

About ~50-60 HG pilots this year and have had 4 good Open class/Sports class tasks so fare, with tasks mostly from 80 - 90 km, in Open.

However, weather so fare, during first week, has not been favorable for long down wind comp days... .

Heavy rain in Florida today again, but every day organizer arrange different flight related clinics.

All from meeting Flytec Steve Kroop, to technical classes about Blade, Rotor HG harness, skew-t, weather clinic and today a Q&A racing clinic with some of our top pilots.

Definitely much less HG pilots this year; but, we  are still very much active and alive.

The good news weather wise, is that we are expecting good flying weather for the next 4 days, Wednesday -Saturday.

Best of all, almost everyone in Florida, including me, is vaccinated for COVID 19.
