It's worth keeping an eye on the forecast. If it still looks good Friday evening I am in.

At the moment, looks like a nearly-W window on Sat AM, before a switch to SW at 1pm. We would need a good pilot turnout to make this work, with early arrivals.

Any indication that we will have more than a handful who are interested?

I gotta work in the AM so I can't get there until ~ 2:30P. Waiting on the hourly surface wind updates for each hour until late Saturday at HGR. Right now the surface fcst for HGR is WSW @ 9 MPH for Saturday. I'm betting it will be straight W @ 2200' MSL (Pulpit launch) for the majority of the day (until 3P  ). I now volunteer to pick up XC pilots downwind of the Pulpit after arriving in the Greencastle area around 2P+. Bacil

I think Mark is right, if you want any airtime you have to go early.
I can be there by 10:00AM if enough others go.

I think we'd need a committed four/five with an ETA of 9am. First wave in the air by 10, fly for 1+ hours, then they launch the second by 11:30.

If there's any chance of that, count me in! But without hearing more pilots chime in.... I won't be super motivated early tomorrow morning.

If we don't seem to have critical-mass for early-Sat at the Pulpit, I suppose that a couple of hops from the practice hill in Smithsburg might be an option?

But hoping it doesn't come to that

I was looking at it but with other obligations hanging over me, I will wait for another day. Best of luck to those who go out.

I'm out : The sfc hourly is now calling for SW as of 10:00am. The window seems too small to me.

Considering a practice day at Taylor, will see if I'm still motivated for that after a morning run.

10:30 update for the NWS surface hourly is calling for SE and SSE at Taylor. Looks like that option is out too.
