Looks more like a Pulpit day on Sunday and maybe a cloudy day at Woodstock on Saturday. However if the forecast is N or NNW Sac would be my first choice.

Also, I am thinking of flying at Woodstock on Sunday.

Although conditions look strong, Gary and I are at least somewhat interested in Woodstock tomorrow. Will decide based on the maps/forecasts tomorrow morning.

General forecast is strong and gusty but pleasant temperature. It appears to be west cross this morning but better direction the afternoon. Holfuy is showing the cross this morning and moderately windy already. XcSkies forecast on wind velocity varies a lot depending on model but all show good direction in the afternoon. It could be a day that any HG that goes there might have a good flight. I want more favorable conditions so will not be going today.

Gary and I are still on the fence....

Against: ~G25 on the updated hourly sfc map until sunset. 3K forecast predicts that the strong stuff dips into northern VA by 5pm.

For: It's not blowing all that hard out at Gary's place, nothing radical.

We're going to check-in on the various airport readings around 2:00 to see if things are ramping up as predicted, or not.

Pulling the plug. The 3k map now indicates 30-40kts as of 3pm, and stays that way most of the night. Odds of any late day back-off are too dim, even if there is any 'Woodstock Effect' in play.

If I lived closer, I'd consider a swing by launch just out of curiosity. but....

Looking at the reports from Holfuy for Woodstock for the ENTIRE day it appears it was pretty darn windy there! Not going I think was the right decision.
