Pulpit Pics: Sat05Sept : PG & HG

Post by markc »

Ok, so here are some pics from last Saturday at the Pulpit! The thumbnails for those that are vertically-oriented don't render correctly, but if you click on them the actual pic should be ok. Sorry for that.

We didn't have enough pilots for HG wirecrew until late afternoon, so most of them are PG. One lonely post-launch HG pic (I was on crew, didn't get a close-up), and then nothing else because I was the second one off the ramp. I'll have to review the video from my flight... There should be lots of in-air moments that would make for good frame-grabs. If/when I get to that, I'll post some of them too.

Three weeks later.... A few frame-grabs from Sept 05, in no particular order. Everyone seemed to be low/struggling at some point, regardless of the wing:

In the video, it's almost like there's a "green glory" around my glider's shadow, similar to a rainbow glory when your shadow falls on a cloud. Best frame I could get, given the resolution of my (old) GoPro.
