Might even be PG-able also but definitely HG-able. I am keeping an eye on it.

I dunno John, might be ok-ish. And we're still 3 days out.

A week ago Sunday, the forecast was bouncing around between 30% and 40% chance of storms. But as it turned out, it was all sun all day!

I'm more concerned about the light SFC winds that are forecast.... Maybe too light for HG, even given the +10 we often see at the Pulpit. Might be a PG day?

Guess we'll see!

Sunday is now looking SW.

Saturday might be better, with nearly due-W on the sfc hourly by 3pm.

Chance of showers up to 40% by mid-afternoon. And the ADDS 3k is stronger than I like to see for the Pulpit.... Opinions?

On the subject of tomorrow late, I'm trying to build a coalition of Walt, Rich, and me. Gonna contact Charlie and Anthony later this evening. Yeah it will be blown out for a while, but is forecast to slowly abate after the peak heating at 4:30P. Should be good to go by 6:30P (my prediction). Since I have to work tomorrow, I volunteer to help w/ launches and retrievals. Bacil

Put me in the maybe-column! Will likely decide once the updated 'casts are issued tomorrow AM, 10-ish.

Sorry not to have posted earlier... When it became clear that the 'casts had increased, people felt WStock was the better choice. I'm there now, looks like maybe a 50-50 chance of flying. Super nice day!

I`m currently at the bridge field at Woodstock watching Walt and Mark soar effortlessly in the blue skies above the ridge 8) . Bacil

Effortless is in the eye of the beholder

Pretty darn strong out of the west. Fantastic looking flat-bottomed clouds, but I was having a lot of trouble finding any cores. Velocity really picked up at 900' over launch or so. Sometimes full-VG and just creeping along. Topped out around 1350' over once, and 1000' over once. Can't really say that the fun-factor was all that great until about 7pm or so.

Unfortunately, Walt had a bad landing and lacerated his nose pretty badly : Bacil called 911 and he was transported to the hospital in WStock. Stitched-up and CT-scanned and released by 11:30. His wife Kayla and Melissa (?) arrived with perfect timing as Walt walked out. There's going to be some healing time needed for that cut, and I hope he isn't too down about things. Give him a call/send a text.

Sunday was a nice day at Blue Sky. Many pilots were there and we aero and truck towed. There was lots of soaring. Others did better than me but I still flew for 1 1/2 hours and got to base at over 6k.

Nice work, Tom. Was a great day at Blue Sky. How many down tubes did you break? Oh wait! That was me...
