Jon Brantley, Charley, and I are planning a few hops at Smithsburg, w/ Charley and I definitely heading for the Pulpit afterwards. Bacil

I am looking and hoping to fly HG at the Pulpit on Saturday afternoon. Lift forecast looks good even though very cloudy in the afternoon.

We had a good day at Blue Sky. Despite the overcast, there were some thermals. I got 1 1/2 hours and flew with some bald eagles. Plus another flight to practice landings. Others had shorter flights but some soared too. Hope you had a good day at the Pulpit.

My marathon was postponed so I now have some time for flying. Hope to see you soon.

A bunch of PG flights with a few XC's (around 2:30 ish) and only Mark flying a HG at the worst time of lift but getting a sled to the HG primary. Over all winds were somewhat stronger than forecast and crossing from the North a lot early. After Charley and Bacil left, the winds picked up and were fairly straight in for an hour and a half. No PG flying during that time but it did improve and the next wave of PG flights started around 4:30. I launched around 5PM and got 42 minutes choosing to land because of concern of weather changing. It was cloudy there all afternoon.

Lots of north cross at Smithsburg in the afternoon, but I got a couple of flights off.
