Woodstock, tomorrow (2/19/20)

Post by Ward Odenwald »

Sorry for the late post but just realized that temps will be tolerable tomorrow. All three forecast models are suggesting soarable conditions during the afternoon. Send me a text (410-977-0988) if interested.

Good day! Was the only pilot and was lucky to have a hiker help me into the air. Flew for an hour and 9 minutes. Checked in with Gary (via phone) just before launch and after landing. The lift was remarkable (two climbs above 4.5K MSL) with the last topping out above 5.2K over Fort Valley. I left both thermals due to concerns about drift behind the ridge and temperature. Hiked halfway back up the tower road and then thumbed a ride up the rest. Here’s the flight track and I’ll post some photos later today.
