The latest NWS surface hourly is calling for WSW at Smithsburg by 1pm. There's a few hours of NW -> W during the morning....Are you considering earlier than 11am Bacil?

The 'cast for Taylor looks just a tad W of southwest for most of the day. Very little chance of precip. Warmer and sunnier too. Starting to look like that might be the better of the two choices?

Yep. Would be there and ready to fly by 11A, but looks like the direction tanks at 11A. So maybe next weekend will work out. Bailing on tomorrow. Bacil

Wow, what a difference a day makes.... The cast seemed promising for Taylor as of the Sat eve and early Sun updates, but after pulling in, they had been up'd to G 18-23 through sunset, and the supposedly SW was NOT happening. A strong, gusty, cross, gnarly day. Got three flights in, no aluminum carnage, and glad of it. Phew!

What a strange 36 hours of weather between midnight Saturday and noon today. Sandwiched in between flyable conditions at Smithsburg for a few hours before and after sunrise Sunday and strong conditions overnight last night was a complete switcheroo to due south winds at Hagerstown for a few hours yesterday from around noon til near sunset. Frustrating to say the least  . Bacil

Hard and strong SSE at Taylor most of the time, S some of the time (gusty and gnarly), and a handful of solidly SW cycles (gusty and gnarly). Frustrating indeed!
