WS Tower Rd Status?

Looks as if Wednesday may bring decent soaring conditions to Woodstock. Has the road been repaired?

I am up for flying Wed. Looks very good and we were told that the road should be open.

Conditions do look good but given that sunset is now 5pm and my uncertainty about the road yesterday afternoon, I made plans to fly at Cumberland. I hope it works for those who fly Woodstock tomorrow.

John McAllister and I are meeting in his field at noon. John checked on the road to the top and it was still closed yesterday so we are leaving a truck at the bottom if anyone needs a ride up.

Darn good day at Woodstock. John and I both got to over 5000 MSL a couple of times. Had to work to get lower and out of the mist with glasses steaming up. My hands got cold so I only flew for about an HR. John was up for 1.5 hrs. The guy guarding the lower gate let us drive up (as far as the construction) so I could retrieve my truck.
