Sorry for the delay, but I've finally got my photos from this weekend
uploaded!

They're available at:

Remember, if you don't have time (or interest) to go through all 1000+
images (in 50+ folders), you can just look through the 00.favorites and
00.general folders.

PS. Faves are 15086 and 15107. Look I'm way down low and heading out to land late in the day and then, lo and behold, I'm back and on top of the stack. At least I got one low save for the weekend-- not as good as Hank's or Carlos' or Brian's or Juan's. But fun none-the-less.

FYI, in the 20050918 series for the pictures in 01 and 07 (both labeled unknown) the pilot is me.

Even more interesting is comparing what pilots actually power into their
launch run versus trotting off with the glider close to trim. Check out
Hank's launch. What a rock star launch. Every time I close my eyes I try
to visualize myself launching as slick as that.

Kevin,

I appreciate the compliment. It has always been my philosophy to add all the
possible energy I can into each and every launch. Even if the winds are
strong you can always lower the angle of attack and keep adding the power
long after you have reached flying speed. Doing this each and every launch
helps with light winds at the Rock if running off from the back (advanced
skill not recommended for everyone), or for places like Dickey's ridge where
you only have a few steps to get off. It seems to me that those who cut back
on the energy they add to the launch when the winds are high enough to trot
into the air are doing themselves a disservice by breaking from the
repetitive muscle memory needed for the more challenging launches and
conditions.
