Moderately interested, will decide tomorrow. Would aim for a 2:30 arrival, or earlier, given the long turnaround after dropping a vehicle out front.

Forgot to mention: Won't be deciding yay-or-nay until the morning NWS update, around 11 or so.

The last hour of readings from the WS tower are pretty encouraging.

OTOH, the ADDS 3k forecast shows not a hint of a backoff later in the day. Just a forecast of course....

Any others still on the fence/considering?

The gamble paid off! Been a while since that's happened, eh?

Photos and more details later. The short-and-sweet: Four of us flew. Walt, John McA, Gary, and myself. Joe Schad hiked-up from the gate at the front to help, and ultimately drove my vehicle back down after helping me launch. Thanks Joe, you sure made the day possible!

I had an awesome sunset flight! About an hour, and stayed below 4k MSL given the temps and winds. Others went higher. I was the last off, still gusting 20-25 at 6:30. Ya had to want it today, but once in the air? Pretty darn nice!

Got some great video that I'll have to do something with someday

Mark,
Great news!
Last weekend and great flights at Blue sky. Now, this weekend and flights at Woodstock.
Things seems to be in our favor and let's hope we'll get a better season this year.
Looking forward seeing some pictures/video soon.
With that, I now have the Insta 360 camera ($350 package) and going to be fun to see how that goes. (Tom Ceunen got that deal for us.)

Below are a few non-flying pics from Saturday. No launch pics, too busy for that.

It was overall a good day.... But glad to be flying a T2C, was able to punch out into the valley in spite of the headwind, working lift that was a bit less trashy. Definitely signs of wave, and of wave downwash. Many bald eagles in the air, but wasn't able to get any footage of them.

I think I heard that Walt may have landed because he was concerned by a blueish/greenish shape along the treeline of the bridge field, thinking that it might be me? If that's so.... Oh man! Sorry Walt, damn, you are a gentleman!
