Woodstock Holfuy still not working

Its been down for close to two weeks! Sure would be nice to see what the wind conditions are there.

Be patient John. My best guess is that the ChgPA member(s) that can reactivate the holfuy WS tower site are likely out of town. Most likely summering in southern hemisphere sites or headed elsewhere. The important ridgetop station that provides both HG and PG pilots with realtime data before launch (absolutely enhancing safe flying) will most likely be up and running just in time for the PG season.

And quite possibly, an individual pilot has made the stations possible in the first place, on their own dime, and on their own time?

I'm shocked, *shocked* I say, that perhaps some sort of payment didn't get made during the busy holiday season. How could that possibly happen?

To my knowledge, the weather stations are being supported by well-meaning pilots. That does not mean that they are on call 24/7.

Well said. If it’s a renewal issue other members should be able to step in to ensure that Holfuy doesn’t shut it down after a payment deadline is missed.

It became active yesterday after 10 AM, thanks George. I had previously told him that I would be willing to take over making the payments for the cell connectivity but he has not yet pursued that!
