Pulpit LZ status as of 6/1 (updated 7/9, 7/26)

Post by silverwings »

The secondary / PG LZ has been planted. Land owner want's us to only land in the very upper field (east of 3 trees) because lower field planted. I am not sure of the grass situation in that area. Emergency landing in lower field OK and now not much sprouting there (Has crop 7/9 and not available). The area east of the barn with shiny roof where we were landing PG last year has high wheat growing (Has been baled and bales present 7/9 probably OK for landing).

The primary LZ and the grass area where HG have been landing (left area toward road) is waist high in grass and also the area where we park/break down (Both mowed and starting to be baled 7/9). The area where corn was planted last year adjacent to the above HG landing area appears to have just been planted and nothing is growing yet (Has soy beans 7/9).

Update as of 7/26
The secondary / PG LZ: Half of far out field is planted (farthest out) and half was low grass (good for landing), the field east of the barn has been harvested and has probably 8" grass (good for landing), and the upper field appears fine for landing.
The HG primary: The area on the left toward the road has been baled and is mostly clear but a few bales present on the lower approach area (good for landing with caution), the field north of that is planted and has low soy bean crop (could be used if necessary until crop gets higher), upper field cut and baled but had lots of bales present (risky until bales removed).
