Dear fellow pilots, future pilots and pilot supporters!
George, Peter and Nannie are hosting a BBQ for our flying friends and are planning to have it the last weekend of July. This to celebrate Nannie’s birthday and while at it we will try to appease the weather gods for some good flying weather!
We have our field on the Shenandoah river available for camping starting Friday July 27 as well as on Saturday July 28.
On Saturday July 28 we will provide the BBQ. Feel free to bring drinks and deserts we will provide the meats and veggies for the cook out.
The plan is for our pilots and supports to:
a) help clean up our sites
b) enjoy the companionship of your fellow pilots while enjoying BBQ burgers, smoked Salmon and trout, vegetarian options and lots of different kind of drinks
c) you can camp out our place down by the river, we will have shower and toilet facilities available and also two tree tents (1 3 person , 1 2 person, available first come first serve).
With a bit of luck we can do tandems
and of course if suitable to train we will do that too!Let us know if you would like to join us (and if you are vegetarian of have other dietary preferences or restrictions) and if you plan to camp out!!
