Pulpit Thursday 7/26
The forecast looks pretty good for flying both PG/HG in the afternoon. A number of PG's are coming.

Interested but cannot leave here till 1:00pm or so. May just check Woodstock if I am late to see if it is PGable.

Joe, Woodstock is going to be very light and going more S starting in the early afternoon. The Pulpit should still be OK until evening time. Come join us.

Based on the Holfuy weather station readouts, it looks as if everything went “kinda south” (both literally and figuratively) after 2:30. Wind speed and direction readouts suggest that a soarable window happened from noon to 2:15ish. Is that accurate?

The best time was probably noon to 2:15 but there were also a lot of flights (mostly sleds) after that until evening time when I left. Ricky Fitzpatrick did his first Pulpit HG flight which allowed him to do multiple 360's a few times in an extended flight. There were multiple periods during the day when high clouds quieted the winds down but late after 5PM is cleared up but we were getting mostly cross winds. Quite a few pilots did 3-4 flights. A few pilots got 30 to 60+ min flights and Tom did a short OTB.

Thanks for the report. What is the status of the main LZ grass?
