Looks like a good weekend for camping and flying at Hyner. If you have never flown there before this might be a good weekend to check it out. Fairly quick turnaround can make multiple morning or evening flights possible. The main LZ has been widened and is in good shape along with the state LZ along the RR tracks. I am going to go Friday evening or very early Saturday morning.
You can purchase weekend flying/camping passes if you are not a member of the club.

Some awesome flights at the Sac on Friday! I showed up late to the party and got a six minute sled while others soared for hours. Ric C. got a five plus hour flight and tagged the river and made it back and soared until late in the day. His Gecko 170 is a very sweet ride.
Not much better today at Hyner for me with a ten minute extendo in smooth air. Eight hours of driving, two sites, sixteen minutes of flying. Two good takeoffs and landings.
