Early birds on Friday were rewarded with soaring flights of 1.5 hrs and altitude gains of 3,900 over takeoff. Every who flew soared. Possibly 14 gliders? I was not able to make it up until Saturday afternoon, missing the epic conditions. Had a short fifteen minute soaring flight mostly around the wall. High cirrus modulated the sun and resulting lift cycles. Did a sledder later in the day for TO and landing practice. Launchable all day, but only short soarable cycles. Dennis P., Chris and Ric flew their Geckos. Beautiful gliders. Moyes has a G 170 size now for larger pilots. Not a bad day at Hyner and always good to catch up with some flying friends. Most of the usual Hyner crew flew also.
