Dickey Ridge Main LZ,

The owners of the property have installed a new electric powered gate on their driveway. We are welcome to drive our cars on their property to pick up our gliders etc. There is a button on the left pole holding the gate that looks like a door bell. Just push the button and the gate will open. Do not try to manually move the gate.

My flight yesterday was my first there in two years. Did not get to fly Dickey’s at all last year. Hope to fly there again today. Surely if I can hike my glider in to launch there are others that could do so and enjoy the thermal site that is Dickey Ridge.

We need a few more hang gliders flying Dickey Ridge. Launched at 1:43 yesterday and got 55 min flight landing in LZ. Should have waited an hour and launched with Tom who got to Marshall along with Randy Weber. Still a fun day for me.
