Flying clinic in Brazil

Post by wmelo »

Beto Schmitz, a world recordist, 8x Brazilian champion of HG, 1x champion PG, is running HG clinics in different parts of Brazil in 2008. I️ am interested in going in June

Walt,

Consider squeezing in some sport class comps if time allows. Green Swamp and Quest are always fun and the logistics are easy since there is camping at the field. Green Swamp has a coaching/teaching aspect to it.

Big Spring is big in every sense of the word. Big Air, big altitude, big distance on XC flights, and unfortunately higher costs since everything has to be brought to the site and camping isn't an option. This is a great place to set some personal bests.

Even if you're not serious about competing, flying with a skilled bunch of pilots will improve your performance and open your eyes what was possible on a given day. I always enjoy flying with people I know. I'm planning on flying the Quest open and Big Spring this year. Hopefully I'll see you out there.

Hey Dan,

All of the events that you’ve promoted as ”learning venues” are way outside the region that you represent as our director. How about using your clout to create events that will help all of us who fly in region 9 instead of just the few that have the means and time to travel faraway.

I heard very good things about Green Swamp Sport Klassic: Greg and I believe Knut went and liked it.
Unfortunately, it does not coincide with my Spring break :(
