dickey ridge Tue, Woodstock Wed

Post by Joe Schad »

Looks like Dickey ridge day Tuesday ( I can't make get out) and Woodstock for the PG on Wednesday. This assumes the forecast holds.
I will be in for Woodstock Wednesday.

Felix and I went to Daniels, when we arrived there were gusts of 12 to 15 mph, but it gradually decreased and there were long launchable periods. I was careful to stay out front with my pg, but could not find anything in the valley so I would go back to the hill to gas up and try again. Landed voluntarily after 59 minutes. Max alt above launch 883 ft.. The problem with Daniels in higher wind situations is that you cannot follow a thermal directly over the back, like you can at Woodstock, without ending in tiger country. A very enjoyable November afternoon.
