Predicted below freezing temps at launch and above throughout the day are going to keep me grounded. Willing to help out with takeoffs and retrievals. It’s a 2hr drive to launch so post your ETAs tonight or early AM.

I'm on the fence, trying to see how much cold weather gear i really have.

any suggestions on winter gloves that have sticky surfaces for gripping downtubes?

I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to cold weather. Brrr. Capture some photos / video of that beautiful fall color. I'll be hoping for a warmer day.

Looks like most everyone is bailing out on Woodstock today. I am still up for giving it a shot, late afternoon if anyone else is. 540-686-0351

Good day at Woodstock. Many thanks to Ward who drove down without his glider just to help launch and retrieve. It was cross from the north but plenty of lift. I flew for a max of about 40 min until my hands got cold without bar mitts. Saw a couple of bald eagles heading north over the fantastic fall colors. Had difficulty getting down over the LZ as lift was everywhere.
