Holy cr@p! Both tandems too. Only positive thing I can see is that everyone impacted the ground very close to launch. With any luck, that might mean that any injuries weren't severe, sure hope so....

Also gotta wonder about the possible non-VFR conditions implied by the video. Can't claim to be a completely stellar role model in that regard... But at launch itself? Yikes!

I wonder if the HG was already flying or just launching a bit higher. As Mark said hopefully with the crash close to the surface injuries were not severe.

The hang gliders launch off a ramp some 20 feet above and behind than the PG slope launch. This isn't the only time this has happened there.
