Anyone have an address for launch? I looked on Hyner's site and did not see a location.

I arrived at 12:30P sharp sans glider (not rested enough) to find Ward all alone and conditions moderate. The sailplane competition was in full swing and Ward had caught sight of a few blistering along the ridge prior to my arrival. Charley arrived just after I did and in the next 1.5 hours we were treated to the "screaming eagles" as each of the 36 contestants whizzed by the launch at high speed doing 3 laps of the ridge ranging from the area of the NE terminus to the Mt. Union area. Some were WAY low and 2 especially came way too close to each other over launch travelling in opposite directions. After 2P the competition seemed over so Ward and Charley set up. The local expert Spoons showed up while they were setting up. Between 3P and 3:30P a few sailplane pilots were up for more speed runs just as Ward was ready to launch. After they passed the conditions ramped up to a level that were strong and gusty, so Ward backed off and broke down. Charley decided to break down too. Of course, by 4:30P after they completed the breakdown of their gliders the conditions on launch had gone back to the consistent moderate level they had been most of the day. Bacil

Here is a short video of a few sailplanes racing on the ridge. At the speeds they were flying it would have been dangerous to launch. Always a good idea to check NOTAMS on Pilotweb for KVR Mifflin County. "!IPT 05/148 RVL AIRSPACE GLD AND TOW OPS WI AN AREA DEFINED AS 8NM RADIUS OF RVL SFC-7000FT AVOID."

I can't seem to embed video anymore so here is the link: https://vimeo.com/218404393
