Weekend of 4/29 - 4/30

Post by XCanytime »

Where to fly? Not the kind of outlook to lock into early but it may work out at the Pulpit Saturday and Jacks Sunday. I'm game for either day if there is the slightest bit of interest. Bacil

Walt,

Don't you mean "prepurchase fly"? :D They are sweet machines!

I'm interested in Pulpit Sat if it's soarable, but I need an observer.

My wife and I will not arrive in VA/PA until after the weekend but I am keeping an eye on Wednesday for the Pulpit in case there are any weekday Pulpit pilots hanging around.

Also, does anyone have any waypoints for 'allowable' (and/or 'not allowable') Pulpit over-the-back LZs ?

Jim and Marzena,
Looking forward to hopefully seeing you two. Will you be around the weekend of 5/6 - 5/7? Looks great at the Pulpit (so far) that weekend. I am looking at flying the Pulpit Saturday afternoon. Anybody else?

Best Regards,
Bacil

Any consensus on Pulpit tomorrow vs Jack's Sunday? I have some interest in spite of the clouds....

If pilots _are_ in a flying mood, then I'm hoping to bum a ride from someone due to vehicle problems, *sigh*

Sheesh, forgot to say hi to Jim and Marzena. It's great that you are back down here for some spring flying! If there's any way I can finagle a mid-week flight, I will do so :D

HG class and PGs will be at Taylors tomorrow. I heard that at least a couple HGs from northern MD and southern PA are going to the Pulpit tomorrow.

Good to hear from you Mark,
We plan to make it to Bedford, PA by Tuesday evening and will cruise into McConnellsburg Wednesday morning. If conditions are too strong during the day we may hang out for a possible glass-off in the evening before heading down into VA after that.
Check in with you next week.

I'm headed to Taylors to work on my takeoffs, low turns, and flairs in 10 mph SW gusting to 14 mph and 91 F temps. What's not to love? Heat exhaustion season begins early this year!

Too bad it's such a long drive for me or I would join in the fun.

A bubbly, moderate day at Taylors -- John M., Matt, Igor, Ewan, Diana, Andy, Ricky, Ant-Man, me... and more! Great to see so many out on the training hill. I think I counted 5 PGs and 7 HGs.
