Lineboro Training Hill

Post by Blaine »

I was hoping to find a training hill a little closer to home (York,PA) and have heard of Hellam Hill and Lineboro Hill. However I cant get logged into the members area nor do I see any info in the site info section. Anyone have any knowledge if we can still use these hills? Maybe a screen shot of a map with the location....I cant seem to figure out how to post pics.

Blaine,

You might want to ping Richard Hays about Lineboro before flying there.

Too bad Stine's closed. That would have beep pretty close to you.

Blaine - I have a good idea where the Hallam site is - take Hallam exit off Rt 30 & head south until the road makes a sharp right heading west. At this turn you almost keep going straight right up the driveway. It faces north, but I do not know if this is what they are referring to as Stines. Have not flown it, but maybe we should check it out together sometime- Tommy

Tommy-We will have to give that one a look. I've been told that Lineboro is a little more open. I'm not sure of where Stines Hill is or was. I'd like to find someplace close to home even if I have to start knocking on doors. Although I'm not It sure what all would be involved or if insurance is required.

Stine's faces (faced) south and is in the Shrewsbury area. Fairly technical site, maybe 200 ft, that sat in a hollow and required maneuvers to navigate; good times.

Please get in touch with Richard Hays to get information about these sites, Hellam, Stines's, Lineboro.
