Keeping Your Hands Warm While Flying

I did a cursory search of the forum but didn't find a specific topic on this.

What does everyone use for hand protection during winter flying? I've seen bar mitts similar to the ones I use on my motorcycle. Do those work in combination with a pair of regular gloves? I also thought about using pogies, which are what kayakers use for winter paddling. Does anyone know of a good sticky, winter glove? I have some Ironclad box handler gloves that are super sticky but aren't winter gloves. I saw that someone recommended wrapping tape to make the down tube or base tube stickier on the gloves, but I'd like to avoid that to make pre-flight easier if I can. I've also seen that some of the PG pilots are using battery powered heated gloves -- anyone know of a tacky variety?

Anyway, if anyone has a tried and true solution that they swear by, the info would be appreciated.

I have a pair of heated glove liners that I like. The battery is a bit bulky, but they work pretty well.

I also tried their heated gloves, but they started to come apart. The liners are nice because you can use them with the gloves you prefer.

For the hg I wear football pass receivers gloves (standard apparel for me) with Steve Wendt's bar mitts (Blue Sky). On really cold days I put chemical toe warmers (with sticky backs) in the bar mitts. Does the job for me every time.

Those receiver gloves are crazy-sticky! But might be an issue if there's any sweat/moisture on a really cold day.... I would love to have a version that's truly flight-friendly, HG or PG.

My Nike FITDRY gloves have rubber patches attached to the cloth and do not get sticky at all, they just grip and do not slide. I got them many moons ago and they work well in all conditions. I think they cost me $30-$40 on a half price sale. Maybe they do not make them today, I have not looked closely. When I have glanced at receivers gloves I have only seen the sticky ones Mark is talking about. I do not use them on the pg because they work so well on the hg I want to conserve them.
