Not at launch yet, but snow cover spots around Front Royal. Got some light rain too.
Seems like low cloud base.

Alone at the WS launch now, 12:53 pm. Walt contacted me and can't come, due to meetings.
Nice 8 mph wind straight in with smaller periods of gusts wind, 12 - 15 mph.
Wind gusts getting stronger now, but it was trally nice at noon. Snow on the ground .
Expecting wind gusts to increase more.

At WS launch now, 1:30 pm.
Interesting data.
Windytv is forecasting right now 14mph wind and gusts around 37mph. All surface numbers.
At the launch now and for the last 15 minutes, the wind is from 6 - 10 mph for a 1- 2 minute period. Gusts are lasting for 1/2 minute proximity and are maximum 16 - 20 mph.
Wind gusts are borderline for flying for sure, but again, seems like we have a Woodstock effect in work again.
Though, wind aloft is another different story and probably relative strong.
Leaving now and glad I could get a mountain trip today.

I could not escape from a PM meeting But based on what you said, it was a flyable day (6 - 10 mph with gusts <= 20 MPH)
