Dinosaurs roamed the earth back then... Cell phones were as big as a brick. You had to be able to read a map to find a flying site.
So OK, I get it, things have changed!

But that said, I am concerned by the lack of participation at recent meetings. So I propose that we have three "formal" (club-business-focused) meetings per year, and that the dates of those meetings be determined (and publicized) near the start of the calendar year.
Yes, things happen, and club officers might not be able to make it on a particular date. It certainly would be ok if a meeting had to be postponed by (say) a week if something unusual came up... And yes, officers could certainly delegate their topics to others if need be....
But the bottom line is that there should be, at least, a roughly-defined schedule, such that the membership knows when meetings will take place, and can plan for them.
I also like the informal meet-ups that Matt I. has been organizing lately. Ideally, these would occur between the formal meetings. An announced schedule might be nice for them too... But seems to me that they could remain a bit more ad-hoc?
I'll likely propose this as an agenda item at the next club meeting, so any thoughts/feedback would be appreciated!
