Pulpit Saturday 11/12

Post by XCanytime »

Looks good at Woodstock a day earlier :( . Now looking pretty light at Woodstock on Saturday. There is no guarantee on a non soarable day that you can reach the grassy field, so it's now looking like the Pulpit on Saturday (and Sunday too). Bacil

I'd be happy to have another go at the Pulpit.
The sun went down too quickly last time. :D

Wind backed down to 7mph WNW on Saturday.

Not a Bacil day but is it good enough to stay up?

I plan to fly there Saturday - provided the forecast doesn't change dramatically. NW at 7 is a great forecast for the Pulpit.

I'm interested in flying The Pulpit on Saturday, but I require an observer...

The easiest camping option is on-site, at launch. But obviously no amenities....

Nearby is Cowan's Gap State Park, 20 min from launch. Plenty of facilities, and I believe most are still open at this point of the year.

I sometimes camp locally, and then head to Cowan's for a shower. And drop a few bucks in the envelope thingy at the main office.

It was such a nice day at the Pulpit yesterday. Checked my logbook... It was my first flight there since 2007. Great to be back!

Bacil, Tom M., Mark, Charlie, Anthony, Don on hang gliders. Tom C., Randy, Rick and myself on paragliders. (Is that everyone?) All stayed up in abundant late-season lift.
