Sorry translation is not available, but it is quite amazing to see Stephan Dunoyer -- the HG pilot who brought hang glider to Rio and consequently to Brazil -- flying from the Christ the Redeemer for the 1st time in history.

Would be amazing to set something up in conjunction with the Olympics to commemorate his flight....

Yes! However I do not know if they are doing anything regarding that. They should!
I know that just after the Olympics games in Rio, a world tournament will be held in Brasilia to prepare to the 2007 world HG championship.

I think the last world HG championship in Brasilia was in 2011 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InWW9EcsHGs) where I saw many poor landings :)
