Tom an I had an epic flight crossing the Shenandoah for the first time from Daniels! Maybe the first time ever, unless maybe a hang glider has done this in the past? Can't wait to see Tom's pictures. Took off at 4:45pm and got to 6200 ft msl! Totally unexpected flight. I've had an eye on Hightop for a long time and can't believe we crossed it! Though I wasn't really watching what was below me. The view of the Shenandoah mountains to the north was spectacular.

I reached out to a bunch of P2s and pilots new to the area hoping to get more people out, but it was pretty much the regulars. Though I heard back from a lot of them and hope they'll join next time.

Congratulations Matt! Looks like you benefited from a little of Tom's karma! Perhaps more of us should launch on his coattails
