Looks promising. I'll get my work done ahead of time and set aside some time - crossing my fingers

Don't think I can make it to WS on Thursday. Though, it might work out and I'll might be able get to WS later on Thursday.
Pulpit is also an option for Friday and are looking into this too, with Bacil.
Will perhaps not know for sure about Thursday or Friday, before Thursday noon.

From my “armchair”, Thursday’s winds are blowing in the right direction, but above 2.5K msl (at both WS and the Pulpit) - way to strong for enjoyment. In other words, one 360 in lift and then you’ve got the bar stuffed to make it back to the ridge. Friday’s casts for the Pulpit are looking decent.

One additional thought. If you're not using the windyty.com forecast site, please take a look at it. Many myths are exposed including those that evoke gradient effects to explain flying conditions (just follow the dynamics of High pressure center movements). It's meteorology "dumbed down" for free flight pilots.

Pulpit on Friday still looks interesting
Re: Thursday (12/3/2015) @ Woodstock
Bacil and I are currently converging on Woodstock tomorrow, Thursday, looking to arrive early and launch him into his favorite high wind so he can go to work in the afternoon. Since I am now giving away 60 squares to him with my Falcon 195, I will be waiting for it to back down in the afternoon - might actually adjourn to Front Royal for lunch and then come back. Hope to see you, Joe! Walt, I can observe.

Looks like we are losing our quorum: Bacil bailed - the forecast got too strong for HIM. I'm out too. - Hugh

I'll be at launch in thirty or so, gonna watch the weather come in and probably leave the hang on the car and kite my speed wing.

I am not going to go out today. Might be ok at 4:30 or so but it will be colder and close to dark by then.

Re: Thursday (12/3/2015) @ Woodstock
We had an interesting day at Woodstock Thursday.
I arrived by 2:00pm at the bridge field where I met Jon. It wind was strong. We set up our gliders and suddenly the winds calmed down tremendously by 3:00pm as predicted. With Joe’s help, I took off on moderate/light winds. Jon took off a little bit after me. Unfortunately, I did not find enough lift and only found small thermals. The wind changed to SW when I was landing. I ended up landing on my wheels with winds on my glider tail after flying for 1h. Jon landed seconds after me and had a hiccup on his landing.
Concluding, it was an “ok” day. I am glad I could fly and acquire more experience by flying in challenging conditions with a Sport 2.
