Woodstock Saturday 11/14

Post by XCanytime »

4 of us flew Woodstock today. I got there at 11:30 to a drying sky. Conditions on launch were light to moderate, with some stronger cycles mixed in every once in a while. Walt and Gary showed up, so I took to the air first around 1:30P and headed north to Signal Knob. Up there I climbed up to 3600' MSL and decided to pay Joe Schad a visit by air. Flew over his favorite LZ, the soccer field by the high school. Decided to put down in a pretty small field butted up against the Strasburg Public Works building. Had a nice landing around 2:15P and leisurely packed up and carried down to Joe's house straight down the street from the building. Chilled on his porch waiting for a ride. A big thanks to Amy Brantley for the retrieve. Back at the bridge field Walt and Jon were all smiles after nice soaring flights. Gary had already left but had a nice flight. Aferwards Jon, Amy, Walt, and I met up at the Strasburg Hotel bar for some food and drink. Bacil
