The CHGPA Summer meeting will be at our house on Friday, August 14th starting at 7pm.

We'll have pizzas and refreshments. Please feel free to bring another beverage of your choice.

Lots of fun things to discuss-- including the High Rock 40th Annual Fly-In.

Thanks for volunteering your home for the meeting, Karen and Matthew, very kind of you!

Do you need us to bring side dishes, plates/cups/napkins, things of that sort?

The Edith's Gap launch is in serious need of some relatively heavy maintenance. Please bring this topic up at the meeting. Last week we cleaned out a portion of it. The gas powered weed whacker was pretty effective. We didn't need chain saws.

Also I heard second hand that Bill's Hill has trees encroaching from the sides and that it does need chain saw work.

As to refreshments, we'll order some pizzas and have sodas and snacks. Please bring a beverage of your choice to share.

I'll send a reminder email the week of the meeting and try to get a head count.

It's not just a meeting, it's a chance to catch up with your fellow pilots and swap your tales of glory.

We are 3/4 miles from the Takoma Metro Station.

Some neighbors have allowed us to use their driveways. So our driveway will be open for two cars. And there is space for two more cars across the street-- one may park behind my truck and another beside it. There are about a half dozen street space available on my block and a bunch more at the bottom of the hill.

If you are planning to attend, please post on the forum or send me a PM so I can get a rough head count for pizzas. We will have the usual refreshments. Please bring an adult beverage of your choice.
