Oregon Ridge
We have not been able to fly there for quite a few months partly because of a change to a new park manager (Susan Cormack). She first indicated a need of insurance and when responded that the site is already under our site insurance. She then requested a change in the terminology/wording which Krista was able to get USHPA to do and may have been sent to her. I tried to contact her about flying there this weekend and was told no because the fence is up. She was out of the office but had left word that we were not to fly there. In the past, we would lift the fence up, lay it down, and replace it when finished. I sent her an email indicating that but will probably not hear back until next week. We have been flying at Oregon RIdge since the mid 70's but it is sure getting more difficult to work with the management then in the past.

Re: Oregon Ridge
did they revised Cert. of Insurance get sent to the new management? FYI: they have some huge events planned this month. Things will probably settle down to normal by mid September...but best foot forward until then.
Correction on flying dates at Oregon Ridge.....we have been flying there since 1971 and it is one of the oldest continuously flown hanggliding sites in the USA.

Re: Oregon Ridge
I inquired about flying there this coming weekend and Susan replied with: "We will be taking down the fencing following the August Music
Festival on August 15, 2015. Following that date I would be happy to permit the site for your group provided I have received the COI.".
A copy of the insurance was emailed to her yesterday. So at this point it is still unavailable for us but hopefully will become available after they take the fence down. I have emailed her multiple times indicating that we have in the past laid the fence down and re-installed after flying but it appears they don't want us to do that.

Re: Oregon Ridge
The fence is down and the insurance taken care of, so Oregon Ridge is available for us to fly except when they have rented out the area we use such as 9/5/15 or have certain scheduled events. It is best to check with them before going (which I commonly do a couple of days in advance) and if you do go to fly, check in at the office and let them know. This Saturday would probably be great but we can't use it since they have a wedding scheduled and the whole area that we used is rented out.
