Tubing the Antietam on Sunday 7/19

For non-flying fun with pilots, friends, and family.
Ski trips, Ethiopean-nights, movies, biking, climbing... All that fun stuff you can't do in the sky.

Tubing the Antietam on Sunday 7/19

Post by Matthew »

Looks hot and muggy this weekend.

A bunch of us are going tubing on the Antietam on Sunday- weather permitting.

Meeting there in Boonsboro at a little before 11am. It's about a three hour float.

If interested in joining the fun, send me a PM.

Ah, the famous three-hour tour!
True to the original, the captain and crew ended up in the wrong place and long overdue. We even debated Ginger versus Mary Ann; of course that conversation got confused with a Betty versus Veronica choice. I can confirm that with six hours lounging in a big float tube, all the sunblock will wear off and exposed shins will turn a rosy red.
No harm, no foul, and the guy with the truck (Greg) did eventually find us and return all 9 of us the starting point.

And we were much cooler and more comfortable all afternoon than all the poor hot folks in 95+ temps in DC and the close-in 'burbs.
