Plus a remarkable finish at the at the Quest Air Open National Championships! Check out one of his thermal tracks between the first and second turn points on day six of the Quest competition.

Congratulations John!

Did follow the two comps live and John S did fantastic. Looking forward "picking" John's brain next week at ECC and learn some from him. Great flying and not a surprise.

John killed it in Florida! Very deserving of the acknowledgement. He wasn't bad at pool either BTW....

See you at the ECC.

that is a HUGE deal; these are some of the most famed pilots in the world. And yet, fueled by beer and the love of his devoted wife, Heather, John kicked their asses!
Woohoo!!

If it wasn't for his thermaling ability, killer glides and outstanding decision making he wouldn't have done shit. lol I even forced him to turn right a few times during the week and he still
crushed it! JD also flew awesome. Once he gets his glider tuned properly he will be a force to be reckoned with for sure. Great flying guys!

Wow,
Just home from the ECC and so very nice to see all you guys were pulling for us down in FL and hopefully at the ECC as well. I've heard a number of people tell me they were following our feats and non feats of HG flying on airtribune and enjoyed it. This is a newish facet of the comp flying scene and it seems both pilots and non pilots are enjoying it to some degree. The live stuff is great and replay is also very fun and informative. Was really great and educational to spend 3 weeks flying with Oleg and so many other incredible pilots (Bun !).

Thanks to Bacil and all of you gals and guys for the kind words and support, sometimes the ducks line up and the streets are working all the way to goal!
