I have to admit, I completely forgot that the old listserv based
at folkriver had a "digest" option, allowing those who prefer email
delivery to get all messages for a given day in one shot.
We don't have that capability with the new CHGPA forums/listservs.
Apologies for forgetting about this!
On the plus side.... Anyone who was using the digest option of
the folkriver list obviously wasn't interested in the immediacy
of receiving email moments after someone makes a post. So,
I'm hoping that the forum website itself will be an acceptable
substitute.
To answer your question : Yes, you can completely disable email
delivery of posts to your email address, and use the forum website
instead ('you go to it' rather than 'it comes to you') .
To do this:
- login at the CHGPA forum website
- click on 'Forum Subscriptions'
- unsubscribe yourself from email delivery, for some or all of the forums

Since I got hit by the truck, I'm not into reading 'every' post. Perhaps that's why I missed how to do this.
