Green Swamp Sport Klassic

Post by lbunner »

A big shout out to the two pilots representing the region and Highland Aerosports at the GSSK this year. Seven days of flying, Matt Christianson and Greg Sessa win three of them with 2 1000 point days by Matt and one huge win by Greg. Awesome flying with them all week. Look out back home cuz these two are primed for a big year. Couldn't happen to two better people. Congrats!!!!

Matt and Greg did a great job representing our region. I have had the privilege of watching and flying with them for the past few years, seeing them steadily improve their skills in the comp arena, they are really starting to exel . Last week I had the chance to watch the live tracking during a few of the tasks, what a blast, I was trying to remote control them around the course from a 1000 miles away. It's great to see these guys enjoy flying in comps, I wish we had more like them to come out and enjoy this challenging style of flying Jim M

I've been logging in each night eagerly awaiting the results. It was fun watching some of it live too! Our guys were hammering it down there, congrats to Matt and Greg for some great flying and to Corey for a big win. Looks like they had a great week and got some big air and miles. Fun watching and living vicariously. Have not been XC yet this year so I'm ready and rearing to go.

Can't wait to see all at the ECC.

Wow, thanks for the support and encouragement guys. What a great event and a great week of flying in Florida. As always, I learned a ton; but the learning experience was greatly enhanced by the mentors that flew with us each day, Larry, Greg, Tom and Davis. To fly with these guys was truly inspiring. Being on the radio with the mentors each day gave pilots the opportunity to get inside their head and flying with them was truly humbling. Couldn't ask for a better way to kick off the season.

Looking forward to more flying adventures with you all soon.

Cheers,

Matt

Thanks for all the support guys! The Green Swamp Sport Klassic was a great time and a great event. Quest is a cool place to fly and provides a very welcoming atmosphere. I learned a lot during the event and I contribute much of the learning to our mentors during the event, Larry, Tom, Greg and Davis. It was great being able to fly with these top pilots, and it was even better that they were all so willing to share their wealth of knowledge with us throughout the event, and even while in flight. I look forward to the upcoming events this year, and to another great year of flying! Greg
