Current forecasts are indicating NW 13 - 17 mph at takeoff during the afternoon with no significant ramp-up in winds aloft, so I'm in and will be at the bridge field by ~10AM. Let me know if you want to coordinate transportation.

It was good!! I got there around 1030, ward an I dropped my car at the bottom and went back up. I took off into 10-16. Straight in and worked up to a couple hundred over. Flew around w ward for a while, we found a couple thermals here and there which were good for a grand or so. Got cold and landed after an hour and change. Someone left a couple of streamers in the field last time so I grabbed them. I can return them to their owner next flying day

The streamers are probably Walts. Glad you got to fly. Was very cloudy here.

Re: Woodstock - 12/19/14
Except for a few fleeting moments yesterday, the valleys and ridges where covered with lenticular shadows. By the looks of these clouds and their vertical depth, I expected that we would be flying in wave but I never experienced any broad bands of lift that felt as if they were triggered by wave conditions although the weak ridge lift may have been modified by wave. As Andy mentioned we found small tight thermals that, for me, disappeared at approximately 1.5K above launch. I believe, Gary took one to two of them to cloud base. All-in-all, it was a good day for us (Andy, Gary, Randy and Dave) albeit cold and dark. Many thanks to Dave who helped us into the air and then self-launched!
