Re: CHGPA Fall Meeting & Holiday Party
There will also be some PRIZES for those in attendance (raffle). Mark your calendar - the meeting is in three weeks.
Re: CHGPA Fall Meeting & Holiday Party
Will the party be a pot-luck, and if so, is there anything in particular that Jeff could use some help with?

Mark-
Thanks for the offer, and we'll indeed have a pot-luck dinner. I'll provide all the paperware, plasticware, cups, etc. Let me know what you could manage to bring and I'll work to fill in any gaps.
Parking is easy -- we're at the end of a cul-de-sac.
If anyone has VIDEOs they want to show, we'll have the set up for that too.
The XC trophy is polished... send me your tracks and comp results!
Thanks,
Jeff

Re: CHGPA Fall Meeting & Holiday Party
I'll contribute a humongous vegetarian (though not vegan: mozzarella and parmesan cheeses included) pasta salad.
For the carnivores : Bring along some pepperoni slices and throw them in!

Re: CHGPA Fall Meeting & Holiday Party
The Holiday party/meeting is a week away...
I'll have the big screen set up if anyone has movies, PowerPoint, etc. to display. Just send me your files or links.
As for food and drink, we'll have some, but let me know of any more pot luck offers.
Best,
Jeff

Re: CHGPA Fall Meeting & Holiday Party
I would love to go but I have work commitments, we are trying to finish a fast paced schedule up by Jan 2015, so I can take a day off, when weekends are not flyable I have to work Saturdays. I will miss this even and wish I could be there.

Marney and I will be there bringing a nice spinach bake. If you order pizza please order pepperoni or meat eater type.

Looks like we'll bring a large fruit salad. We can also provide a ride from Arlington, either from our house or from the VA Square metro.

Thanks for hosing the best meeting/party yet! Kerri and I enjoyed it greatly. The doarama thing was awesome!

Re: CHGPA Fall Meeting & Holiday Party
Ditto to what George said. The party was fun a lot of fun. Patrick had a great slide deck outlining all the club business that I hope he'll post. There's a LOT of really cool progress being made. Edith's and Woodstock will be official club sites with the CHGPA being in charge of maintenance. Progress is being made for expanding paragliding in the Shenandoah National Park sites.
There's been positive media coverage in local newspapers and the club is now linked on the Shenandoah and VA tourism websites. Jeff presented notable XC flights from our local pilots and gave out the XC trophy for longest distance flight to Tom Ceunen for his flight from Dickey's to Harper's Ferry.
We discussed land owner gifts, landing permission, and possibly leasing crop land at the Pulpit. The new electronic site guide will help keep everyone more up-to-date with landing sites and site protocols.
Did anyone get any good pictures?
