Greetings - I'm a pg pilot in Japan (stationed at a small U.S. Army post). I started about four years ago and I'm due to rotate back to the D.C. area next summer. I'm looking forward to a chance to fly (and continue learning) with your team; been somewhat constrained here with picking up skills do to language barrier (and recent wet weather/typhoons) - but many good Japanese friends have helped along the way. All the sites I can fly here are at least 2 hours away - so, I'm use to road trips to fly. See link for local flying.

Which small Army Post? I was stationed at Camp Zama from 83-85' with the 500th MI Group. I know many things have changed since then.

...yes; Zama - and the have been many changes just in the past 5 years i've been here. i live at sha in one of the old houses. most all have been torn down and rebuilt the past couple years (take a look at google earth). i fly at kannami (izu peninsula past odawara). the club operator was originaly hg but swithed over; we have a good relationship between the hg and pg - but, it is very challenging to learn hg here (especially for someone with limited japanese skills)
