Bill's Saturday!!!

Post by Matthew »

East winds are coming! Thinking of Bill's on Saturday. A couple of small problems, however. The slot needs some work. Anyone know who has the club weed wacker? A couple of chain saws would also be useful. The bigger problem is the LZ is shut down. The landowner passed away and the heirs are in disagreement about letting us land there. The field just to the south has recently been planted. So it is also now out of bounds. I think the field across the road is OK for landing... as is the area two fields south of the primary. But if you get up you can land in a bunch of places.

The two closest fields being out of commission might be a deal breaker for me. The forecast doesn't guarantee I'll get up. I SHOULD make it across the road, but am I willing to risk it?

I would be game for giving it a try Sunday if the weather forecasts are still looking favorable tomorrow!

Looks like a bunch of PGers are heading to Bill's on Sunday. We will probably follow the lemmings. Will post again for sure after checking Sunday AM forecasts.

Looks a bit breezy for towing at Ridgely.

PGs are losing confidence in the forecast. Worried about clouds and light winds and the off limits LZ. Given the long drive I agree. Wish I could aerotow!
