Sat07June : Pulpit afternoon?

Post by markc »

Though it looks light, winds are supposed to swing W for several hours at the Pulpit tomorrow. With the usual 'add 10', and a low humidity day, I'm thinking it .might be worth a shot.... Anyone else up for a mtn day tomorrow?

Interesting call. Looks like maybe late in the day, but it's truly L&V everywhere.

PGs are betting on an early start at Edith's Gap. I'm nervous about that one as well. It seems like a better day for towing to me.

Ah well, that west window is now gone from the 'cast. I can see some potential for Edith's, perhaps late day, good luck out there!

Super nice breeze straight in. 3 people are up and soaring.

Super day at Edith's for me. Almost no wind, but luckily we got there early when cycles were blowing in. It died later in the day and many people sledded. I got a away and flew to Front Royal. Cloudbase was 6k. Super slow going - took me 3+ hours. Landed voluntarily. Flew with 5 sailplanes!!!
