pulpit trash pile

Post by Richard Hays »

People are now dumping scrap lumber and other crap in parking lot. have pictures. spoke with neighbor about it. advising to post property. discussed putting private drive barrels and signs back up. we may need to chain off parking lot too. Not pretty.....

I've often wondered if it wouldn't be more effective to post a sign stating that it's private property owned by the Hang Glider club but visitors are welcome to stop and enjoy the view. "Please leave no trash."

A chain and lock blocking the entrance would discourage the easy dumps while permitting the bird watchers and others easy access.

Noticed that trash pile a week or 2 ago and had a vague memory of seeing it late last year, seems to be an isolated incident, the wood would be burnable in the fire pit. RichB

There was a load of wood dumped on the left-hand side of the parking area as you're facing launch. It's been there for at least a year. I think the wood was pressure treated; can we burn that?
