Danny and I had a good time at Smithsburg. I measured 15-18 with some "stronger" cycles. The hill was in great shape. Low grass, firm ground and just slightly North conditions (of course it was straight in as I was setting up). Good solo high wind ground handling and launching practice. Where were all the dune goon wannabees? I made a cautious first flight and was greeted with fairly smooth air and nice landing conditions resulting in a no-stepper. Danny was next with a beautiful flight turning down the ridge and back, ending with a perfect landing. Not quite soarable, but fun. Danny had a friend along that was amazed with the gentle nature and smooth flying of hang gliders. He wants to take lessons, so looks like another potential pilot.
I had 3 nice flights, all no-stepper landings (damn, why cant do that in the mountains, work in progress). Danny had 2 great flights and perfect landings. Overall a great day to get out and shake the winter aluminium oxide off. Thanks again to Danny for coming out and flying with me. Headed home into a magnificent moon above the twilight horizon. More great flying on its way, get ready.

PS
Nice flight Mark. I think the raptors thought you were "sexy." Remember, the proper protocol is to "entwine" and spiral to the ground, releasing before impact.
