Anybody up for giving Daniels a try tomorrow? Looks warm-ish, sunny-ish and south-southwest-ish.

Sweet. I should be passing through the LZ, just before noon.
See you out there.

Looks like the forecast has lightened up, but I am still going to head out and have a look.

Sledder for me today. Light winds all day.....never saw above 10mph...probably more like 8mph at peak. Lot of SE early and even some ESE. And then the cloud cover came Short reprieve from the cloud cover, and things straightened out a bit (still VERY light), and there were some burbles of lift but nothing I could do anything with . 3 PGs present with a total of 5 flights made by them. All extendos except one soaring flight of any length. Great to meet Kurt, a new pilot to the area.
Nice January day to be outside on the mountain. Amy and I finished it with some good wine, food, and live music at the Early Mountain Vineyard on the way home. Love that place, the heavy timber is sweet.

ooopppss, forgot to thank Dave and Amy for doing maintenance in the slot yesterday. Dave went to work with some loppers to cut back the overgrowth and Amy did some sweet stair repair so you can step down into the slot with less fear of wiping out. Thank you!!!

My glider never left the roof of Jon's vehicle. Still, I had a nice day in the mountains.

Seeing both Laszlo and Tom sink out in the first round encouraged me not to set up my Sport 2. I'm a little rusty, so I wanted more than 3 minutes in the air to dial back into my glider before I had to land.
In the second round, Tom was the only one who managed to resist gravity for long.
